W.P.I.A.L. High School Football Predictions: Week 9

Each week from the start of the WPIAL season through the PIAA State Finals, Pittsburgh SportsNation brings you the best, uncensored, no holds barred predictions by our local high school football guru who goes by the moniker “P To The Power of 2”.

He is one of our underground writers who covers the hard hitting action of WPIAL High School Football in Western Pennsylvania. Or is it she...? Either way, we'll never tell! (Unless you have a crisp $100 bill in hand)

By P To The Power of 2

As we listen to Frank Sinatra this evening, while having our normal white label Ashton cigar accompanied by a scotch & soda, we reflect on what an excellent regular season we did indeed witness!

From the Pine Richland Rams destroying Wayne (OH) on national TV in the season opener, to the surprise Quaker Valley Quakers roll thru their schedule until they were defeated by Aliquippa just a few short weeks ago.  While also, let’s not forget the superb and stout defense of the Quips this season, only surrendering one offensive touchdown this season.

The Lions of South Fayette look to return to Heinz as they have also made their schedule look quite easy.  A great campaign! A fantastic season!

Less we forget our dearest friends from Central Valley. Who are not going to the post season as the polish has worn off the once so called great coach, Mark Lyons. From players leaving the organization, former players robbing the elderly and now, administrators committing assault on women with disabilities. We say to you good folks…..See ya! Enjoy basketball!

Last week, we gave an extra 5 bonus selections. We posted a 13-2 record last week.  Taking our season total  victories to 64 and only suffering 13 defeats! We have more victories in one week that Blackhawk head coach Joe Lamenza in his entire coaching career!  We feel that it is time for the Board of Directors to escort him to the nearest exit.

Very interesting matchups Friday….let’s do what we do best! Work!
