1. VANCOUVER vs 8. CHICAGO
Vancouver took the league's President's Trophy for best regular season team, and their reward is to play the defending Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks. The Canucks boast the Sedin twins and are solid defensively, while Chicago has Patrick Kane, Jonathan Toews, and Marian Hossa. Chicago has knocked out the Canucks the past two years...Vancouver is out for revenge...VANCOUVER IN 7
2. SAN JOSE vs 7. LOS ANGELES
Los Angeles was looking good early, but losing leading scorer Anze Kopitar is a major blow to the Kings hopes. San Jose is solid with Patrick Marleau and Joe Pavelski leading the way. SAN JOSE IN 5
3. DETROIT vs 6. PHOENIX
The two teams split the regular season series with each team going 1-1 at home. Detroit is the more experienced team with star power, minus Henrik Zetterberg for atleast game 1. Phoenix isn't great at scoring goals as they try to force you to play their style, but they can forget that here...DETROIT IN 6
4. ANAHEIM vs 5. NASHVILLE
Nashville took the season series 3-1, and helped their playoffs chances by adding Mike Fisher. Corey Perry has been outstanding for the Ducks this year. Nashville has been a regular in making the playoffs the past 6 out of 7 years, but they haven't tasted a series win yet...till now...NASHVILLE IN 7
