W.P.I.A.L. High School Football Predictions: Week 5
Each week from the start of the WPIAL season through the PIAA State Finals, Pittsburgh SportsNation brings you the best, uncensored, no holds barred predictions by our local high school football guru who goes by the moniker “P To The Power of 2”.
He is one of our underground writers who covers the hard hitting action of WPIAL High School Football in Western Pennsylvania. Or is it she...? Either way, we'll never tell! (Unless you have a crisp $100 bill in hand)
By P To The Power of 2
The PToThePowerOf2 hate train continues to board more passengers as the season moves along, posting another undefeated record last week, 10-0! Taking the season total to 35 victories and only 5 defeats, 87%!

Last Friday, sources tell us that our dear beloved friends at Central Valley shut the scoreboard off at the horn after being destroyed by Quaker Valley, 39-0. For Central Valley, it was deemed respectable to leave the scoreboard on for days after demolishing teams the prior 3 seasons. The WPIAL moto is "Sportsmanship, the only piece missing is you" Well, we've discovered that missing piece....The absurdity continues in Center Township.
Speaking of Sportsmanship, let's take a trip to Wilkinsburg where last Saturdays contest between Jeannette and Imani Christian was terminated in the 4th quarter with 4:31 remaining to play due to altercations between fans and players. Wilkinsburg Police were called to assist to conclude these activities. Let's have a look at the book of James 4:1 "What causes fights and quarrels among you?" Imani Christian takes a trip to Clairton Friday night, where they will be without 5 of their players who were ejected in the previous Saturday's scuffle. Best of luck to the so called "Saints".....
Meanwhile, there are plenty of great games on the docket, let's get to work.....
CLASS 'AAAAA'
Gateway Gators (5-0) vs Penn Trafford Warriors (5-0)
Friday from Penn Trafford High School, 7:30pm
Matchup of the evening for the WPIAL when these two undefeated teams due battle. Gateway will lean on QB Brady Walker who has thrown for 16 touchdowns, and 1,327 yard this season. WR duo threat of Isaiah Cameron and Courtney Jackson will cause issues for the Warriors defense. Cameron has 12 receptions for 250 yards and also leads the Gators with 454 yards rushing. Jackson has 26 receptions for 663 yards and has 10 touchdowns.
Penn Trafford will rely on their ground attack. RB John Gay has 7 touchdowns and 525 yards. His counterpart, Caleb Lisbon has 405 yards rushing with 8 touchdowns. QB Cam Lafoon has only thrown for 595 yards, 5 touchdowns and has 2 interceptions. Penn Trafford's defense is only allowing an average of 6.2 points per game thru 5 weeks.
The speed of Gateway will be too much for the Warriors to contain in this one.
