Each week from the start of the WPIAL season through the PIAA State Finals, Pittsburgh SportsNation brings you the best, uncensored, no holds barred predictions by our local high school football guru who goes by the moniker “P To The Power of 2”.
He is one of our underground writers who covers the hard hitting action of WPIAL High School Football in Western Pennsylvania. Or is it she...? Either way, we'll never tell! (Unless you have a crisp $100 bill in hand)

Week 2 is now here and PToThePowerOf2 continues to raise the hater count quicker than the storm surge in St. Thomas, posting a 10-0 record in Week 1!
That is 100% for you dimwits who failed basic mathematics.
PToThePowerOf2 was shocked last week as North Allegheny fell to Bethel Park! Who saw that coming?! Also, in the stone-cold upset pick, PToThePowerOf2 picked Knoch over Blackhawk! The legend that is continues to grow!
Anyhow, Let’s get to work!
Class AAAAA:
McKeesport Tigers (0-1) vs/at Armstrong Riverhawks (2-0)
Armstrong is led by QB Dustin Porter who has 6 touchdowns, 308 yards passing and 376 yards rushing through 2 weeks of play. Armstrong will rely on their defense to slow down the McKeesport attack. The first 2 weeks, Armstrong has held their previous opponents to 17 points per game. McKeesport fell last week in a true dandy, losing to Franklin-Regional 13-7. The Tigers will continue to pound the rock with RB John Harper, RB Marcquis Butler and Rahmon Powell. Armstrong will lose their first game this season.
McKeesport over Armstrong
Class AAA:
Aliquippa Quips (2-0) at Beaver Bobcats (2-0)
Cake anyone? The Bobcats of Beaver are undefeated so far this season. Last week the Bobcats slaughtered Freedom, 42-0. Beaver will run a 2-QB system with Brodie List and Harrison Pontoli. RB TeVonn Williams has rushed for 249 yards and 4 scores. Beaver is averaging 55 points per game so far this season. Meanwhile, the well is still full in Quip town. Mike Zmijanac and his Quips are stacked, period. Last week, Aliquippa destroyed Beaver Falls, 36-0. RB Avante McKenzie scored 4 touchdowns last week, taking his season total to 5. Aliquippa has outscored to opposition, 60-0. Beaver better hold on, and hold on early. This very well might get out of control, early.

Class AAAA:
Trinity Hillers (0-1) vs/at Thomas Jefferson Jaguars (1-0)
The Hillers will make their trip to Jefferson Hills Friday night to enter the jungle that is CherpMania. Last week, the Hillers lost a heartbreaker to division foe West Mifflin to the tune of 26-24. RB Joey Koroly had 160 yards on 30 carries and scored twice last week. Cole Blair returned a kickoff 85 yards for a score that gave them the late lead, 24-20 but still lost. Another season, another loaded Jaguars squad. Cherpaks Jaguars will be led by QB Shane Stump who tossed for 122 yards and 3 touchdowns last week in their blowout win over Uniontown, 55-7. RB Justin Vigna rushed for 139 yards. Trinity may have caught West Mifflin sleeping in their opening contest, but not this week. Same old game, same old result.
