WPIAL High School Football Predictions: Playoffs Edition
Each week from the start of the WPIAL season through the PIAA State Finals, Pittsburgh SportsNation brings you the best, uncensored, no holds barred predictions by our local high school football guru who goes by the moniker “P To The Power of 2”.
He is one of our underground writers who covers the hard hitting action of WPIAL High School Football in Western Pennsylvania. Love him, or hate him, he simply tells it like it is... Or is it she? Either way, we'll never tell! (Unless you have a crisp $100 bill in hand)

As we gather this evening from Scotty’s Jazz & Cigars on German Street, we are accompanied by the sounds of Barry Manilow and the smell of rich cigars and a double scotch for a beverage.
The quarterfinals for Class 6A, 5A and 2A, and the semifinals for 4A, 3A and 1A. All games will begin at 7:00 pm tomorrow from neutral site locations.
In the opening round, PToThePowerOf2 posted a record of 25-4! That's 86%! Thus raising our season total higher than Kevin Benson’s BAC level to 114 victories and only 25 defeats... 82%! You can tell our critics to politely kiss our ass!
A cold evening tomorrow for the forecast, could this play a factor? Let’s find out! As always, let’s get to work!
AAAAAA:
North Allegheny (10-1) vs Pine Richland (9-1) from Pine Richland High
Last week, Pine Richland had the 1st round bye. North Allegheny defeated Canon McMillan, 48-7.
Pine Richland QB Cole Spencer will continue to be a key for the Rams as he’s thrown for close to 2,400 yards on the season, with 29 touchdowns to his credit.
North Allegheny will counter with QB Ben Petschke, who has 1,110 yards passing, with 14 touchdowns.
Two weeks ago, Pine Richland dismantled the Tigers of North Allegheny, 42-14.

Last week, Moon defeated Franklin Regional, 35-7. Peters Township defeated Mars, 47-6.
Earlier this season, in week six, Moon handed Peters Township their only blemish, 21-13.
We believe this is a coin-toss, a late fumble? 4th & goal?? Overtime???

South Fayette (10-1) vs Belle Vernon (9-1) Peters Township High
Last week, South Fayette defeated West Mifflin, 52-0. Belle Vernon destroyed New Castle, 49-6.
Last year, South Fayette cruised past Belle Vernon, 28-10. That was also a Belle Vernon team that did not have QB Jared Hartman due to injury. He has thrown for 1,530 yards and has 27 touchdowns.
South Fayette's only loss came to Upper St Clair in the opening week. South Fayette did not impress us a few weeks go, as they have only defeated sub-par teams.
Give us the Leopards in this one.
